About to incubate some shetlands, marsh daisies, marsbars, cream legbars, marans and a potluck egg :D
Whats everyone else got?
-
Just hatched 8 buff Sussex - a week old and doing well :-)
Have 19 Shetland duck eggs in the incubator - first time trying to hatch waterfowl, so keeping fingers crossed.

Good luck! I have no room for ducks or anything else or I'd consider going all shetland with hen, ducks, ponies, cows and sheep!

The usual story for us. We thought we'd lost one of the hens a couple of weeks ago, but she turned up again yesterday..... with sixteen chicks in tow! :trophy:

My daughter has popped 8 eggs under her broody ..... A welsummer, an araucana, 4 sable poots, a poland and a mottled Pekin.
What a crew!

sablepoots

Ahhhhh, not so good.
Only one sable poot is developing. One early death and two showing no development at all. It was the Poots that my daughter was really looking forward to. :-\

Always the way :( Were they bought in eggs or yours?
-
Bought in from a rare breed farm. We collected them from the farm.
Oh well, will have to try again!
