Title: Hello from Essex :]
Post by: fruit loop on August 22, 2010, 04:56:46 pm
Hi all, im not quite the small holder yet as im only 20, but I seem to be doing okay so far. Have to admit chickens are my thing, I've got 20 at the moment most of them are rescued ex battery hens, but i have a few pure breeds too. Got 2 dogs and 3 horses (there my mums).

Im also really into growing my own veg, and the country way of life fox hunting etc..

Thought i'd join so i could chat to like minded people :)

Thanks for reading

 Lucinda. :chook:

Hi Lucinda from Fife. There are a few of us on here that don't consider ourselves true small holders but we are made just as welcome here.

Hi Lucinda and welcome.

There aren't a huge number of young smallholders, and I think that partly because of the property market making it so difficult to get anyplace with buying land/ground.
