Title: Lamb with bloody tail

As soon as I left this morning two ewes decided to give birth. 3 lambs in total both ewes cleaning two of the lambs and feeding but third one getting left out, neither mum seems interested so getting some colostrum ready. One lamb looks like it has had part of its tail eaten off, crows I guess. I've put iodine on it. Any other ideas please?

Try giving one ewe the twins (the ewe with most milk ) and give the second the neglected lamb . The bloody tail will be from one of the ewes chewing it , put a rubber ring on it now to stop any infection tracking up the spine

Yep, one of my goat nannies was a bit vigorous with her cleaning routine and her daughter has a bit shorter tail...


I would also spray the tail end with AB spray, like Engemycin/Terramycin.
