Hi all!
Couldn't help but share this with you; today we took our two Ryeland lambs to Okehampton Show, just because we could. Our ram lamb didn't place (but we still love him!), but our ewe lamb came first! We were really impressed as these were rare, minority and primitive breed classes with around 12 entries in each class! It was a fantastic day out, and we met some wonderful people!
I think I've managed to attach a picture of Drake Annie; we've been told that we should take her (and her fleece) to the Royal Cornwall Show next year!

Excellent, well done. My 2 sheep are never that clean. :-[

Congrats! What a lovely looking sheep. I have Ryelands too. :)

out of interest, what the movement licence law relating to attending shows?
-
Thanks everyone! :)
You have to have the AML1 forms to enter the show ground; they take one of the counterparts and leave you with the rest. When it comes to leave you have to pick up anothe AML1 form from the organisers; they fill all their bits in, then you do the rest and send it off.

Well done!

We tried some show clean, but it didn't do much, then we tried baby shampoo, and that didn't help. In the end we let her dry and on the day brushed her through with a dog slicker brush!
