Good morning! ;D
It's already Monday morning and I'm back at work. Did everyone have good weekends? Thanks to everyone who wished me luck with the job applications - I had a job offer on Saturday morning. It was in the right place, where we want to be, couldn't have come at a better time, but unfortunately I've had to turn it down as the money wasn't working out :( and I don't see the point in moving somewhere for a better quality of life, and having to flog myself to death to make ends meet!
So, what did you all get up to over the weekend, and get well soon George - I hoped to log on here this morning and find you up and about and posting by now :D
Dan.

Congratulations on the job offer Dan...I bet that was a difficult to decision to make to turn it down. But not enough money would not mean a better quality of life. I'm sure the right thing will come along.
Let's hope Wizard is getting better. Get well soon George.
My weekend was spent doing the changeover in the holiday cottage and butchering 4 pigs and making sausages, bacon and hams.

Must be something in the air - I have an interview on Wednesday! Only for 18 hours a week - working a 'proper job' as an Occupational Therapist.
Lovely morning - eggis in the incubator due to hatch today (Buff Orpies & RIR's) - pipping has commenced :)
We had a lovely walk along the River Wye yesterday - boys are still in bed so we must have worn them out!
Have a good week everyone!

We moved the ponies and the cats to Dalmore, so that's Lorna and I here now. I think the cats were a bit anxious - all three slept ON me last night. At least it was warm! More in the diary on TAS

I've just seen off friends from London with their children. They had a great time and Edie (5 years old) didn't want to leave and wanted to keep helping me feed the goats and chickens etc. I love to see city friends enjoying the countryside. But I must get them to not be so afraid of walking in sheep poo!

Well done and Yes, why push yourself for the bennifit of the employer, you are no more appreciated than those who don't. I used to work for agencies and several times been interviewed and offered the job I was already doing BUT for far less...far far less, money so no thanks, take my chance at agency, now self employed but doing a bit of work. The weekend was mixed, nice guest, nice food and nice walkies but nothing special and today, after a night of being too hot, then too cold, then tooo hot again, I am tiered, no energy and want sweeties >:(

Chores done in the morning followed by a bit of retrieving training with Bobby and Allez, then a sandwich, then off for the weekly shop and up to the woods with Bobby, Allez and Freckles. Just the three as it was Freckles first time off lead since her leg operation. So the big girls got out later. Had a nice chat in pouring rain hearing a bit of the history of the woodlands from a lady with three rescue labs. Tea in the oven, all dogs fed and sleeping, me time now! Perhaps even a wee glass of pink that's been sitting tempting me in the fridge.

Good luck for tomorrow Sharon!
Have sent off another few applications yesterday, and written speculatively to another company this morning so that can go in the post later - we'll get north eventually! :D
Working again today, but one of my sisters is coming over later and I have to decide whether to takeaway it, or actually cook something :o
