Title: really cold feet.
Post by: langdon on August 07, 2010, 10:44:45 pm
when we were doing the girls hoofs this afternoon we noticed that mollys two front feet were really cold.
her hind ones were normal temp, we found this really bazzare.
we dont know if the fact that mollys hind hoofs are allways worse than her front ones, could this be anything
to do with this?
has anyone ever had this themselves before ( goat i mean  :D )
thanks langdon :goat:

dont know but it was weird, we are treating molly for bad skin around her  feet.
it has gone dry and scaby, the vet gave us blue spray to apply which we have done to our understanding of instructions and he allso
gave us antibiotics via needle which we have allso finished, but i have to say her feet still look more or less the same.

I have been using that spray on my goat too.  If you accidentally spray it on your hand, it is cold you know, so maybe its the spray!!

Unfortunately foot problems in goats do take time to go, and if it rains and goes muddy, it can send you back to square one. Only answer is to keep them inside when the weather makes the ground wet and muddy.
