Title: Dunblane Abbatior
Post by: F.CUTHBERT on February 15, 2018, 11:20:42 pm

Heard today that Dunblane shut the doors a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone else heard anything?
What's the alternatives Shotts or Wishaw?

Yes, I'm afraid it's true. More details (such as they are) here (http://www.thescottishfarmer.co.uk/news/15971636.Family_run_abattoir_closes_in_Dunblane/).

The alternatives sound like Shotts, Wishaw and Paisley. If anybody knows of others in Central Scotland that do private kills, please post details below!

Downfiled in Cupar do sheep. Can highly recommend them.

It's a pity Downfield don't do cattle as it would be really handy but i don't think it is going to happen any time soon.
Going to give Whishaw a try on Monday
