Just want to wish Lisa every success at the Country & Western Fair tomorrow.
You've done amazingly with your new enterpise - quite an inspiration!
Hope it goes well and more importantly, hope you can keep up with the demand for your lovely soaps!!
(Mind you - I don't envy you having to listen to all that C&W music! Got your ear plugs packed?)
:-*

Aw Sharon thank you so, so much!!
am a bit nervous!! not much of a salesperson having spent my whole adult life nursing and counselling so fingers crossed :)
ear plugs packed indeed ;)
-
Good luck Lisa :) From what I've seen, you'll have no problems whatsoever................other than the music lol.

Best of luck!

I love the look of your soaps and would buy them but very short of funds at present...If I did have some money I certainly would buy a lot of stuff from people on here, so genuine people with ideas and goals!!!
-
Good luck from me too Lisa :hshoe:
Hope the weather's good too !
-
Good luck - and have fun :)
-
can't get to scotland so have ordered some soap on line. I can't wait to try them. Good luck!
-
Thank you everyone - you are all lovely!! :) van is packed (found a good use for large VW camper other than transporting goats and numerous kids lol!!) goats milked, chickens sorted so that means I get chance for coffee and TAS before I go
Sheila - thank you for your order, I will send out first class Monday, hope you like them xx

apart from the thigh slapping and line dancing oh and no forgetting listening to songs about how your 'OH dont luv ya, your horse dont love, and your dog has run off' how did it go??? (sorry to any C&W fans but that is all they sing about!!) ;D ;D
-
Hi WP!
that is EXACTLY what all the songs were about!! the first act were on for 3 hours and the singer was really funny so it was ok. next act (yawn!!!) were hopelessly trying to be witty, were obviously married so kept bickering, she kept getting off stage because her mic was whistling -ooh it was painful.
anyhoo - we now know that C&W music festivals are not the place to try and sell soap! I think we sold 13 bars, 4 of them were to my dad who popped up to visit!
One gorgeous ladyl (all decked out in the outfit!) came to visit my stall as she used to keep 7 milking goats herself and she bought 2 of mypure milk bars :)
have learnt a lot though, I feel ready to face other fetes etc from what I gained yesterday. if nothing else my taste in music has not been altered
Lisa!

Hi Plums,
have you looked at the Winslow Show post i have put on? there are usually quite a few people with craft stalls there, may be worth a visit i think we are ionly around an hour and half ish from you??
-
YEE - HAR :). Well, there's no substitute for experience Lisa. At least you sold something. It was their loss.
All the best,
Ian

Thanks Ian :) It would have been the perfect place for a pet shop owner to hold a stall though - with the exception of Crufts, I've never seen so many dogs in one place!!
WP - I'll take a look at your post about the show - thank you.
Am holding a soaps/spray tan party launch on Friday - I have a feelign that once I've plied the local girls with wine I might make a few sales then (hopefully or my confidence will be in the basement somewhere lol!)
-
Like you style. if all else fails get them pi**ed :o :o :o
The winslow show usually gets a good head of people so may be worth a look, dont know what they charge for a pitch though?
-
All good experience!
-
Shame you don't live nearer I would happily hold a party here for your soaps etc...I want to utilise one of our rooms and other than Anne Summers, that I AM considering, not keen on much else...mind you, did contact a medium to come here but again, put it on hold.......funny how a lot on here are from different walks of social care and now working with nature rather than people!!!!!
