Title: Fluke treatment
Post by: Jon Feather on February 02, 2018, 02:48:12 pm
I don't want to keep asking my local farmer friend for help, so I want to fluke my own sheep.  Problem is: my local farm merchant only has it in 2.5lt.

I only have 30 shetlands.

Where can I get small quantities from??

Look online, you can buy some in one litre

Thanks for that bj.  I looked on line a drew a blank.  I've narrowed it down to Tribex 5% but I can only find 2.2lt bottles.  Who knew there were so many meds out there for sheep.

Hi John
I see you are in SW Cumbria, we are just outside Appleby and happy to let you have the required amount of Tribex from our pot if that's any help.

Flukiver and Triclafas you can get in 1 litre bottles.  Fane Valley stores stock them both in this size: https://www.fanevalleystores.com (https://www.fanevalleystores.com)

Those are the two types of flukicide - buy a bottle of each so you can rotate them (triclafas in autumn, flukiver now) - they usually have long shelf life.  I have less sheep than you and I manage not to waste any doing this.
