Spotted this tonight should I be worried? Purplish ear lobe?

Generally speaking I regard  any purple or blue tinges on earlobes, comb or wattles as either indicating it's a really cold day or that the bird has a circulatory problem, probably due to its heart working inefficiently.  Quite often, alas, the next occurrence is that the chicken dies.
