Title: Looking for a job for a friend
Post by: doganjo on January 28, 2018, 09:58:11 am
Hi everyone, i hope someone can help.

A friend has been given the nod and wink that the company he works for may be going downhill and as he has a wife and young children to support he'd rather find another job than be turfed.  He is presently a team leader of three doing almost any task from gardening to decorating, but prefers the outdoor life.  I have worked with him in the past, and found him kind, thoughtful, manages his lads well, and is hard working.

Any ideas where he could look?

Thanks for that, SD - central belt area.  Yes I agree about accountants - I am one (Retired - at last - and QBE mostly),

Speaking to the present company isn't an option - ostrich syndrome firmly in place.

I don't think he has a current CV but I can help him with that.  I'll give him your other suggestions necxt time I see him, thank you for your help.

Reed jobs are also very good :) you upload your CV and potential employers can look it over, plus they offer courses too which can help improve your skill set. Monster jobs are also very good. Failing that Facebook is also a good place to start :) hope he finds a good job soon!
