Title: Is there any creature that will eat wild garlic?
Post by: arobwk on January 14, 2018, 11:50:43 pm
Are there any domesticated animals that will eat wild garlic (bulbs or greens)?

Reference to "wild garlic" includes both ramsons and 3-cornered leek:  reference to "domesticated animals" excludes forum members  :) !

Goats, cows. Dairy farmers are always scared of them eating wild garlic because it makes the milk stink!

Foobar - do you really want your 'patch' taken over - once introduced, difficult to keep 'contained' unless you eat/cut every flower head or turn the sheep onto them to eat every flower head before seeds are formed! I'm just tackling a garden that is overrun with 3 corned leek: could probably send you several cwt of the stuff and by the end of summer I could probably send you more and, then, next year ....... LOL
