Hi there
Im living in North Cornwall on a smallholding where I breed rare breed hens, a few sheep, loads of bees and a pair of unruly children!
Im expanding my Orpington breeding (having shown at Royal Cornwall Show in 2009) and keep Buffs, Blue, Black & lavender Orps, Light Sussex, Cornish Game and Cream Legbars.
I keep a couple of hivesof bees and am interested in setting up a top bar hive sometime when I have time (that rare luxury).
My OH is a traditional blacksmith who is currently setting up a forge.

Hi welcome, sounds like you will have loads of interesting stuff to share. :D

Hi and welcome from the Scottish borders, you seem to have lots of interesting hens I just have boring hybrids and would really like some different breeds, I have very good egg sales so would need something that laid well. :chook:

Hi there...
I would say the Blue orps line that I have are pretty good....out of my breeding hens Ive had an egg daily off each one since Nov (and they lay bigger eggs than the Buffs). Cant beat a Light sussex though....summer and winter pretty good laying.
