seem to attract trouble, don't they?
I cannot believe that people who have probably never met, and never will, can be so bitchy and horrible to each other. Two horsey ones I have been on have had trouble, and it makes you wary of posting anything for fear of upsetting someone. Now I notice, a local website in the village, has gone the same way. There are grown men squabbling over comments one has made, and then its got out of hand. Its a bit worrying being local, as they can probably work out who each other are, and may meet face to face to sort it out. People get banned from the forum, and then appear back as someone else and start again.
At least everyone on this forum appear sane and normal, which is something to be grateful for.

Sane! Roxy Sane! ;D The mind boggles Roxy boggles ;D ;D ;D :farmer:
-
All right, Wizard, most of the people on here appear sane? We had better not start insinuating some are not, in case we start trouble on this forum too!!!
I have never seen any trouble on here, or if there has been, it has quickly been stamped out.
-
I never insinuate Roxy. If I have something to say I say it as several on here can confirm. So ask WP ask Mick ask me and I have a bit of paper to prove it as well. ??? ;D ;D ;D :farmer:
-
Roxy agree its a great forum.
-
Oooh, we've had our share of zoomers and nasties, as well as a few simple misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Dan's usually pretty quick to deal with them though.
-
HM The best I have tried :D :farmer:
-
I ran one for a while, then someone complained about something that had been written and there was a big stooshy about it. it was upsetting me so much I handed the admin to someone else who was less involved and not so soft as me.
-
This is my favourite :)
-
The local forum I mentioned is amusing me - they are trying to get the people involved to apologise and play nicely. Well .....thats just added fuel to their fire, and they are still sniping. Calling each other names now. These are grown men!! And some of the forum members are so fed up they have left ......I only ever browse, and certainly do not want to be embroiled in trivial arguments such as they are at the moment. The worst thing is, they cannot see how silly they are being, and no one will give way!!
-
::)
-
Some of the other forums I use have been through that - on one the admin was so heavy handed that all the users upped and left, and another one has just had a huge dust up and a kicking out of the clique that had formed that was off putting to any new members.
Not like here though - I like it here ;D You all seem sane, nice and helpful ;), and talk about things that I understand ( like septic tanks and farm machinery ) and things I would like to know about ( livestock ).
I'm just hoping that I bring more to the forum than I take, but stand by for daft questions! :D
-
;D ;D I agree TAS is special. Generally - the danger is in written on communication on screen you can get it all wrong and go in weird directions. I've had huge falling outs with folks who yelled at me per email endlessley - would they have spoken to me like that in person or on the phone? I don't think so! It does take some smoothing over sometimes but you also make great new friends! :&>
-
Well, I have met a few people on here in person, and they are all as nice in the flesh, as they are on here.
-
At least everyone on this forum appear sane and normal, which is something to be grateful for.
sane ??? ??? its cos we are all bonkers we get on so well ;D
-
I'm wi you smiffy all the way. Its the best ever bar the odd thin skinned one(s). You an me shall get em thinking and talking like us yit :farmer:
-
oh, I was writing generally about the medium as such , of course TAS is the best forum ever (really!), and all I have met in person are all brilliant, friendly and knowledgable people and we've made so many good friends over the years - thanks to Dan and Rosemary for hosting it! :) :) :&>
-
I agree, love it!!! I think this forum people are a bit more like minded (insane ::)) and far too busy with thier work life and growing rearing and making do life to engage in tickle tackle and Anne never heard that one before
stooshy
??? ??? DOn't think I am stoodshy at the moment I am workshy!!!!!
-
Sandy I love your "tickle tackle". it sounds so much better then "tittle tattle"
-
Sane! who in their right mind wants to be sane, better a forum that does not take itself too seriously than one with a lot of know alls who know bu**er all. I find that here you always get genuine help.
-
sanity is overrated ;)
-
The problem for me G is where does one end and the other start and I alust partook in a bit of the other ??? ;D :farmer:
-
and unlike some other forums, TASers rarely a) form cliques (although most of the population of Clackmannan seem to be here!! ;) *joke!!*)
And b) get all ar*ey at new people for asking questions... even having a book doesn't give you all the answers!
and yes... this is from experience.
:)
-
Oh Blue You may well be right but must keep it to yersen
-
... on "other forums" George, I would! ;)

Hey Wiz man, I know what you are talking about, I've seen it first hand. The thing with these people is that, It becomes their LIFE, Its only cyber space, a place for information or it maybe a chat room or a dating site, and they try to impress. They are known as key board gangsters. haha jeeee Hope I havent upset no-one now.

If thats upset em Craig The really should not play.As I keep saying some folk are really thin skinned when it suits :farmer:
-
Just one thing to add.. Don't suffer with madness, enjoy every minute of it ;D
This site is sooo un cliquey (is that a word? who cares) I go on a couple of motorbike sites and you just can't break into their little cliques, and too many knowalls I'm sure some of them use google to try and sound smart.
