Ah Langdon, you must've forgotten to spray your bait with WD40 - mackerel go nuts for it ;)
I don't get to go fishing anymore  :( On account of the fact that I catch more than the boys ::)  ;D ;D ;D

Is it true it fizzes in water so draws attention to the bait?

Don't worry Langdon, I had the same problem this weekend - spent most of yesterday fishing off the rocks, and only came home with one small pollack to show for it. No wee stripey fellows to be seen anywhere (could be because I wasn't using WD40 though!?  ???)

Blanking is a term of endearment that get brandished about when you go fishing and come up with nothing ' have held that position many times'  :-\
i come up fishing from Milford and pembroke dock.. fantastic days fishing from both. Nice to put a few in the freezer. (well when i get chance to catch anything te he)
about 3 years ago had the most awsome trip to Aberystwyth and filled a couple of freezer draws with mackerel which kept us going for few months.. was delicious.
