I got 12 freerange hens in the garden they have mash and pettets and oyster shell and grit.Yesterday i was lookin at my flock to see if they was ok as i do and one of them did a poo right infront of me and as she was doing it her insides started to come out but after she had done they went back in.The thing is she is still laying eating and drinking so i put her in a pen on her own .What could be the matter with her ive not a clue please help. ???

andy mate thats awfull, gosh id be really upset too if one of my chucks was like that :(
andy i new myself to this site and new to smallholding, im going to keep an eye on this one,
the guys on here are great im sure someone will be able to give you the advide and help you need.
i hope she gets better soon.

Sounds like a prolapse, she may be OK for a while but one day it may come out and not go back in. Then you have two choices - vet and pay a lot of money and she might never lay again, or put her out of her misery. Don't know if it's painful but it looks like it would be.
