Title: Tagging hoggs.....
Post by: Paul and Caroline on November 07, 2017, 12:09:13 pm
Hi

We have made a late decision to retain two of our 2017 lambs to go to slaughter as hoggett next Spring. They were born in April and have a single tag inserted by the holding of birth, from where we acquired them. If we take them beyond 31st December will they have to have a second (EID) tag inserted or can it wait until the 1st anniversay of their birth? Hope that question makes sense.......

The abattoir go by their teeth so get them away before they get any adult teeth.
