I've just joined the forum and love reading other member's stories. I live near Edinburgh in a walled garden and last year for my 70th birthday I persuaded my husband to give me two little pygmy goats. We finally went to collect our two young castrated boys this April having put up a shed and prepared part of the garden for them. It involved cutting down a few pine trees, not a popular option with him indoors! Love having the goats and they in turn seem to enjoy watching our hens and dogs. I've read several books on goat keeping and joined the Pygmy goat club, (very helpful) but good to have another option for advice. I'm looking forward to chatting to other members.

A walled garden  :garden: !!!
I used to have my eyes on the one behind Mortonhall when we lived near there, but it was just allowed to fall into disrepair (although I've not seen it for more than 20 years).
Welcome to TAS.

I have a lot to learn about forums, this is my second attempt to write a reply! Lost the first one.
Anyway thank you Nimbusllama & Fleecewife for your warm welcome. I don't know how to reply individually. Will also have to learn/try to post photos here.

Welcome from Shropshire. I have two dairy goats who live in a section of my garden. I've kept goats for around 15 years now.
