Apparently PMSG is out of stock til 2019! Has anyone got enough for 5 ewes we could buy please? Many thanks.

I've recently had this conversation with our vets. The purpose of PMSG is to trigger ovulation following sponging, however if breeding within the normal breeding season i.e. now, they don't really need it as they should be ovulating anyway so we're just using the sponges to synchronise them.
Hope that helps :)

At this time of year you only need PMSG for AI, I have sponged my sheep in the past and they all were duly tupped within 24 hours after boy got into the field (sponges for I think 16 days then introduce tup after 24 to 48 hours).

Sponges in for 14 days out don’t bother with pmsg in breeding season I did I last year only gave 1ml per ewe an had 4 with quads. I put my Rams in 36 hours later. My lambs are normally born over 2/3 days
