Title: Electric fence training pigs
Post by: Kienstra on September 16, 2017, 05:49:08 pm
My little weaners are currently housed in a stable but would like to get them out in next couple of weeks. I'd be a lot more comfortable if they were electric fence trained. Any ideas on how to set up an electric fence inside a stable?! Not sure how I would earth it!

Thanks

I put mine outside with a few hurdles and run the electric fence about 20cm inside the hurdles.  First off I keep the pen fairly small, using maybe 6 or 7 hurdles around the ark.

Hi,
Just wondered and interested to hear how your pigs are getting on with the electric fence, and roughly how long it took them to get used to the fence please?
We've had piglets since august in fenced pen, and today we have put electric fencing inside the penned area so that we can move them about.
They seem totally on edge now since getting zapped, and are very wary to be out on the pen..

Thank you in advance
