Or was it originally a bell perhaps?

We've dug up various old things around our place, but invariably they're worth more to us than they ever would be to anybody else, just because of their link to the history of our smallholding.

We have a few of those kicking around, all little bells for allegedly summoning the maid.

I have one and I doubt it's worth anything.
