Hi, are you doing turkeys for xmas? i've had loads of requests of my friends but need to do a bit of reading, breed when to get them what feed etc.

I am registered with the Soil Association so they are a bit more expensive - £11 for 6 wk olds.  last year I did 3 and sold one - but at cost as I was experimenting!  Also they were very spoilt and had too much feed I think!  this year, I will note the costs and sell hopefully for a profit.

where abouts did you get them from and are you doing the killing and dressing yourself?

I got them from a lovely lady in Devon (booked them in Dec) - Woolacott Farm.  last year we did 3 and I'm sure we can manage 10 this year!  Just need to sort out the regulations on stunning etc.

Paynes at Holme-on-Spalding Moor do various Day-old poults as well as two week, four week and six week growers from July onwards. Check their Web-site for  current prices.

we have bought our turkeys from paynes for the last 3 years and always been perfect
