Farmer's son, James Corfield, has been missing from The Royal Welsh Show since Monday night. James is 19 years old and from Montgomery.
Please see Welsh news for more details.
-
There has been a big plea (http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/uk-spinners/3657128/) on Ravelry about him, he's a friend of a friend.
If you do social media at all, please share one of the links. Many of us must know someone who was at the Royal Welsh, one of them just may remember something, or have a picture on their phone, anything. And by now, he could be pretty much anywhere, so sharing any and everywhere may just help.
-
Thank you for that link, Sally.
He is from a local farming family and was in my son's year at school.
Just hoping that he can be found safe and well soon.
So, seconding that Sally, please share folks.

Just shared on Facebook.

Thank you, mojocafa

Thank you MGW

Yeah I saw this yesterday on Twitter, shared it. Really shocked to read it tbh... :o
-
Thank you everyone.
I've been talking with my mutual friend. She says it is very comforting to the family and friends to know that the word is being spread widely. They are feeling so powerless. So even if you think none of your contacts could possibly know anything, please share anyway and ask them to share. Who knows where the link may turn up which releases that one tiny bit of information...
-
Is there a link to a Facebook page that I can share?
Not very good at all this sharing so make it simple :)
I've found the poster but can't share to my groups.
-
Thanks Penninehillbilly.
I'm rubbish at links but if you type 'Montgomeryshire Young Farmers' into the FB search bar you'll find posters and info to share.
Maybe Sally can help with a link????
Thanks WBF.
The police have requested responsible sharing on social media to spread the word.
-
I shared on FB. Hope he's found safe and well. Family and friends must be frantic.
-
Thank you Rosemary.
I can't imagine what they are going through. :'(
The whole community is desperate for news. A vigil of support for his family was held in Montgomery this morning.
-
I did finally share, not sure where it went though, I saw it, but not in my groups. Ah well.

Thank you for sharing

Here's one linky (https://www.facebook.com/katharine.barber.3/posts/414673328927175) and here's (http://www.countytimes.co.uk/home/2017/07/29/gallery/crowds-fill-montgomery-in-show-of-support-for-family-of-missing-james-corfield-91814/) the news story itself if you can't see Katherine's page.
Thank you everyone. We are still being asked to keep sharing. It may just turn up a lead, and it is definitely providing some slight comfort to the friends and family to know that the message is continuing to get out out there,

More links you can share:

This from Katharine on Ravelry
It’s so encouraging to see the response, I truly appreciate the support from the spinning community on here thank you - none of us knows what might actually help or unlock some of the puzzle, we just have to keep trying and not give up. I’m very aware that whilst this is all we personally here can think about, it’s not like that for the rest of the world - so your support is even more appreciated as people unconnected to this help and encourage.
That people are willing to believe us and help out of the goodness of their hearts restores my faith in human nature. It’s making a tough time slightly easier to bear. xx
Please keep sharing x

Sadly they have now found a body ... yet to be identified.
-
This is just so tragic.
Not yet identified but family informed.
-
I'm afraid it has been confirmed. I am so sorry. My heart goes out to everyone affected.
Thank you to everyone who helped to share the message wide and far.
-

Dyfed Powys police have just confirmed that it is James.
His family have thanked everyone for their help and now asked for privacy.
It seems appropriate to lock this thread now.
Thanks everyone.
RIP James.
