I've currently been offered a field for the sheep over 10 miles away, due to the lack of grass in my current field I am thinking of moving them. I know the CPH of the land and on the movement form it says under the receiving keep tick box if the keeper is the same person. My question is if I move them do I need to ring up and tell DEFRA that my sheep are on this land and register it as mine or just fill out the movement form and tick the box which states I'm am the the same keeper? Sorry for the long winded question,
Many thanks,
Keelan

If you move onto the field and it's registered to someone else then they would be on a standstill for x days. It takes a while to get a temporary cph number through so if they were happy with that then I'd go that way.
You are still the owner so tick same keeper box.

If the land already has a CPH number then fill out the form and tick the box saying that you are moving animals within your business that remain under your ownership.

Just fill form giving CPH number of land and tick same owner.
