Had a FourTrak for 14 years - just the tiny, no-frills tow truck we need. Have seen a TDX (the slightly longer one with a bulge at the back and two extra seats I'll never use) with bodywork in much better condition. Pluses and minuses welcome from anyone who's had one of these

check the indi tortion suspension bar for decay - they rot like a fooker

Ive taken mine out and welded a scafold bar in - but its not road legal - ive also welded up the indi suspension on the trailing arms.

its a mechanical engine - so works without any need for a computer - all good

i just upgraded from a tired TDL to a really tidy (30k miles tidy) TDX. I love it!
Got electric windows, electric 4H transfer switch, air con, brilliant bodywork and chassis
Maximum towing limit (more than most modern pickups), smaller than a pickup, really capable off road but also shifts on tarmac too.
