For a change, we are desperate for some rain.
The fields are bone dry and the grass is dying off, as it never really had a chance to get going before the ground hardened to rock.
It's forecast tomorrow so let's hope we get some as the last few storms forecast didn't amount to anything.
How's your land coping?

Dry here too, in Angus. Had some rain yesterday and some forecast for tomorrow, so hope it happens. Back feeding hay to the cows :(
-
We've had about 1.5 cm in the last month and not much more the month before that. Even the nettles are dying back. We're in Norfolk and it doesn't look like we'll get much tomorrow.

Ground is rock hard here in the Lakes too but we did get light rain Friday and a really good soaking last night.
People on private water supplies getting very low. Course the worry is that once it starts it just wont stop.

I was meant to put grass seeds on my paddock over grazed and made into mud by ducks and geese during the winter. The mud dried up and resembles concrete!
I am digging it bit by bit every day... the good thing is I don't have a water meter so am watering grass a looooot.
At work is also slowly. No point of cutting grass when it's not growing right? I have much more time for reading educational books about rotational grazing in my van :roflanim:
Butlin seriously I am happy we had some rain finally! It really is dry

Just like Terry T we are in Norfolk.Only one shower for us in 8 weeks.
We started lambing 2nd week of March and were pleased for a while that we hadn't had a wet lambing!
Now we have finished lambing we would like some rain please!
;D

We have steady rain today. :raining: I can't find the "forward" button guys :coat:

Dry here for 2 weeks it was, ground cracking and grass failing to grow. However the past 3 days has been steady rain, with bouts of dry warm weather. Today we have highish winds, forecast for most of today :( let's hope summer hasn't come and gone though eh? ::)
