I had hoped North Lanarkshire would have held on to things till budgets improved. Very sad, Palacerigg  has always been a very special green oasis for folk from Cumbernauld. It appears to be being run further and further down. Even the local plan is now proposing housing just down the road in a completely unsuitable site - I don't have much faith in the planners. Hopefully all who work their will try their best to keep this running through these difficult times and press for improvements rather than letting it slip any further. It is hugely important for folk.

I think they are moving to become a city farm.

I would guess they see no improvement in finances in the foreseeable.

We are doing fine at Palacerigg and are just selling off some equipment we no longer use. We are currently building new pens and are about to invest more in the farm signage and new activities for visitors. Thanks for your support - and watch this space!
