Hello my name is Teresa and my partner and I want our own smallholding eventually. We are at the the research stage at the moment so we are looking forward to reading all the posts. Any advice will be gratefully received ????????

Welcome! I learnt so much from this forum before I got a smallholding and I'm still learning loads. My tip, pay special attention to the posts that say help, or people venting. See as many sides of smallholding as you can, the good and the bad, and see if you still want to go forward with it.

I found reading Rosemary and Dan's diaries really helpful. Right from the beginning! It builds up a detailed picture of the ups and downs of starting a smallholding and convinced me that it was what I wanted to do. :)
