Do you seperate your male ducks when you have ducklings hatch or do you leave them al together?
IWhy?
Thanks :&>

Consider the Mallard. Ducks and drakes come together in the Spring, the duck hatches and brings up the ducklings on her own and the drakes go off and do their own thing until the following Spring. Drakes can be very aggressive towards the ducklings of another drake.

I let mine mix with the rest of the ducks after about 7-14 days of being penned up on their own. Mainly because of predators (cats, birds etc) rather than keeping away from the drake. My drake is pretty chilled out though and I only have 1, he just does his own thing.
