What a load of b*****ks !!!!
About time Brussels sort out their own affairs before sticking their noses in where they're not needed >:(
Does anyone remember the p take over the banana saga years ago ? Sorry pal, but you can't have those, they're not straight enough ::)
-
I remember.
Always think of that "Yes Minister" episode, where they're meant to change the name "Sausages" to something like "reconstituted offal tubes!" under eu guidelines....

I might be one of the people they take to court. I will not sell eggs by weight.
-
Nor me, I sell mine in sixes. ;D ;D
edited - Actually I don't sell them, I give them away for a donation to the hens feed. ;D

this is - again - utterly ridiculous. It is not only against common sense in Britain - it is against any common sense ::) ::) ::)

Mornin Anne love,Sheila in fact Good Morning all Its nearly 1/2 8 BST here in Grimsby and already it is 20F .It was 30f at 3 pm yesterday afternoon.I have wandered off yet again. As most of you know I spend quite a lot of time at Brocklesby. The poultry flock is looked after by the gardeners, and when the eggs are collected they are taken across to Harry's and (He is a retired chap lives in a cottage next to the walled garden) He is in charge of a machine that weighs the eggs to decide small medium or large. The eggs roll from left to right and as they roll along the weight opens a trap if it is heavy enough. So if the egg is heavy enough it opens trap 1 and rolls down where Harry places it on a 30 egg tray the next egg may not trip any trap so it rolls down to the end and is a small egg and so on It's a good while since I saw Harry doing the eggs but I may have got it wrong way round it lets the small ones out first and any that go past trap 2 are large.Thinking about it I am right or all the eggs would go down No 1 ??? ;D ;D :farmer:

Well here they are sold in 6, 10s, 12s and 15s in the supermarket, and often direct at the gate. I dont imagine the Bretons will suddenly start to sell by weight. Might be a lot of eggs dumped on Brussels by militant French. :D :D
-
I hope they use rotten ones then :D :D
-
Now would be the time to trademark the brand name 'one dozen eggs' and 'half dozen eggs'
You could then market under that brand name but still have the weight listed on the pack as a whole to cover yourself ;)

I noticed that Tesco is selling eggs by the 10s and 15s. Might be a start of the nonsense... :chook: :&>
