:'( :goat: :'(
Our "poorly" goat died today.
Last night she was eating, but unable to get to her feet. So I went in to take her some food to put under her nose and she kind of collapsed on me as I was fussing her. she was responsive but it was obvious she wasn't going to get better, we've known for a while she hadn't long.
We've sat up with her all night, cuddling and stroking her as she has been fitting and crying.
I left for work at 7, and by 11am she had gone.
DEFRA very helpful, they arranged for her collection for scrapie testing within 24hours, and they were in the area so came within a few hours of me ringing. Even if the chap said to Geraldine the toggie "I'll see you again one day!"
Sleep well Margo, you are loved and missed

I am sorry to hear of your loss, you did all you could. I know how difficult a time it is. Big hug.

Some people just see animals but they are a part of your family, a sad loss but nature is much crueler...and, we all have to go sometime!!! :bouquet:

lots of tears... from both of us. then from some friends at work, after I'd phoned J and she had really gone - Margo was very popular!
Set me off again now....

So sorry, Ruth. I know you were expecting this, but when it finally happens, its still a shock, and will take time to get over. But, you did all you could for Margo, and I am sure she was happy living with you and Jay and being so well cared for. I was lucky enough to meet Margo, and she was a lovely goat. I am sure Geraldine will miss Margo too.
