				I picked up my Pedigree Pietrain boar today, it was a longer drive than planned thanks to this delightful English weather but he's here and settling in nicely, he has a pen all to himself with thick bedding, just a few months and we can start working him. I'm very happy with him.

				Pietrains have a reputation for being a bit less laid back than native breeds.  Once he's had a few days to settle in It's a good opportunity to be around him while he's distracted by food, so he won't see you as a threat to his wives once he's older.

				 Yes I have been in there with him for nearly an hour already,  I should be doing this nearly every day I imagine whilst he's feeding,  he's only five months old  One of his brothers went to the abattoir  this week  and was 70 kg deadweight,  so he should be quite a big chap when he is fully grown
