Title: Clearing heather
Post by: Gregoz on January 25, 2017, 09:16:46 pm
I am looking at a new croft that is around 4 hectares. It has been neglected (as so many Croft's are these days) and is poorly drained and overgrown with heather, gorse, rhododendrons etc
I am going to put in a series of drains but was wondering the best way to clear the heather. I have a battalion of pigs that I could delploy but not sure if I should do something else first?

Thanks!

I would say that the pigs are your best bet:
