Title: Poultry Abbatoir

Hi everyone,

Is there anywhere local to Bristol that I can take my poultry to be slaughtered and dressed? Just pushed for time to do it ourselves at the moment.

Is there any such place in the UK??? Never heard of it. Always done my own birds myself!

The only one around here that is close to Bristol is Usk Valley Poultry in Usk.  I know they do turkeys at Christmas but may do private kill.  There are people that do it but keep it more hush to avoid bureaucracy.  You do have to phone around poultry units sometimes you find people who will do it for a few pounds on a mobile service. Also try the livestock markets they know everyone.

Hi guys, thanks for getting back to me. Got them sorted in the end.

I always find things work out right at the last minute. Will bear your taunton guy in mind though if I should happen to get stuck again in the future!
