Title: Looking for a horse!
Post by: DODx on January 04, 2017, 03:34:35 pm
Hi guys, posting for a friend!

She's had some bad luck recently with some pretty crazy horses forced on her by dealers, lost out on a lot of money and caused a lot of heartache by having to give them up as she grows a strong bond very fast. Trying to find her something suitable and put a smile back on her wee face again!

So she's looking for something under 10 years old that she can have some fun on and can jump. Jumping is her thing so that's a big part of it. She's a fantastic rider and an even better person so you would never have to worry about the home it's going to. Preferably safe but like I said she's a great rider so as long as not dangerous.

Would love to help her out guys so please let me know if anything suitable  :fc:

Forgot to say we are in Scotland. South Lanarkshire but willing to travel

Sorry forgot to mention we are south Lanarkshire. Mostly England on pre loved and the ones that I have seen are waay out of budget, don't know if it's just me but horses seem to be getting more and more expensive  :yuck:

How old / big is she, DODx?

Our next door neighbours (nr Stirling) have a lovely horse for sale at the moment (he belongs to their daughter, but she doesn't have the time to ride him any more now she's working).

He's a thoroughbred ex-racehorse, and jumps really well. We have a mutual friend who knows about horses and says he's the nicest one he's ever worked with - not an ounce of badness in him.

I don't know a thing about horses, except that they bite at one end and kick at the other. However, obviously they do, and could give you a better steer on whether he'd be suitable or not. PM me your Email address if you want me to get you more details.

Yorkshire lass - currently she has a mare who is fantastic schooling and hacking but bring a trotting pole anywhere near her and she freaks out and I mean FREAKS. and she has just had to give back a 16.3 mare who reared every stride to the point she almost fell on her back. Was on two legs more often than 4!

Womble - she is 21 (I'm sure) very lightweight but is looking for something over 15hh. Id love more details does she have an add? I'll pm you just now  :)
