Title: DIY round bail feeder
Post by: graham-j on December 17, 2016, 08:56:02 am
Hi Has any one got any good ideas for a DIY round bail feeder.
Could really do with another ring feeder but funds wont stretch to one at the moment.

Regards Graham

Not round, but if you know any roofers, I've found that the crates bulk roof slates are delivered in make great hay feeders!

I rigged up one last year by putting the bale against the side of a barn then putting two upside down hurdles around it to make a triangle.  The wider gaps at the bottom of the hurdles worked in much the same way as the gaps in a ring feeder, although I did pull some of the loose hay into the angles.
