I've got wool from my Ryelands which I want to do something constructive with,
where do I get it washed, carded and then possibly spun??
I've been let down by the lady that was going to help me with this and now I'm totally stuck.

Don't know where you are located Moleskins, but there is a company called Norweft in Rhyl, North Wales who spin alpaca and sheep wool. If that's not convenient, do a search for spinners or something of that ilk and you might get something for your area. Also, there is a woolfest being held in Cockermouth, Cumbria (and I bet you're somewhere in the South of England!!!!) at the end of June - they have a website if you search 'woolfest' and there is a link there to the companies, small and large, which spin wool and have displays at the woolfest - not sure of the cost though. Good luck.

Thanks for that, I'm about 1/2 an hour from Cockermouth

Had a look at the woolfest site, got a couple of places off there but come on there must be some more, one only does sheep at the end of the year as it's mainly alpacas wool that they do.

I might be able to help?
Let me know what you want and maybe I could take a look at the wool and see what I can do.

We wash, dry, pick, and card anything from 1 fleece upwards.
We do not spin as we are mostly felt but prepare fleece for hand and machine spinning!!!
Look at my website and blog for details and info
