Spent ages planting out my lovely red kale, staking the area and netting it against the damn pigeons and putting slug pellets out and guess what? Those damn mice have got in and nibbled them down to the ground! Grrrrr.....

Greenerlife I sympathise, its so frustrating when that happens. I'm losing a 1woman war against slugs at the moment. Hubby won't let me use slug pellets so there are beer traps everywhere. Doesn't seem to be stopping them from eating everything in sight. Think I may just forget the slugs and drink the beer myself. ;D

Wish there were puppy pellets ::) Only joking, but I went away for the weekend leaving my dog sitter in charge and have just been out and found no garlic scapes left - nio idea where they are but I can guess he's noticed them and pulled them all out! Must have been Bobby, the others are mature and would probably have watched him thinking 'oh boy is he in trouble when Mum sees that!' ;D ;D
