Title: Nappies for chickens
Post by: Pomona on June 08, 2010, 06:20:49 pm
I came across http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=131065&p=1 (http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=131065&p=1)

And was a bit nonplussed.  To put it mildly  :o

Anyone heard of this - or  used them??

Don't get me wrong, its bizarre.  ;D

But, reading through some of the posts I can see some instances where it was useful- one lady was a volunteer taking the chickens to nursing homes for the elderly and very ill, so they can stroke the chickens. This way its not a health risk.  :P

But generally - barmy  ::)

For a brief time I had a serama (bought from a shop wi' big windaes - ie they saw me coming ;D ;D)
and apparently they are more common in malaysia as house pets than cats or dogs - and guess what ? They wear nappies! ;D ;D ;D
