Post by: Snapper on June 06, 2010, 11:04:28 am
Thought other members in the area might be interested to know that Selby Auction Mart is having it's first Rare Breed Sale on 26th June 2010.

They are selling Poultry, Pigs, Cattle and Pigs and want entries before 19th June.

Details are on their web-page, but you need to contact them for an entry form if you want to sell anything.

We went to the regular Thursday farmers auction in Brigg last week. It was so funny. They had a rare breed cockerel. When the auctioneer got it out of the cage to show it and to start the bidding It ran away through the crowds with a merry hue and cry in his wake. he was off into neighbouring fields and not seen again in the hours we were there.
