Title: Quick question
Post by: jameslindsay on June 05, 2010, 12:18:30 pm
A neighbour has just chopped down a Beach tree, would the leaves be safe for the goats to eat if I gave it to them? Thanks.

Yes, we feed Beech from the hedgerows to all our goats.  They love the leaves .

Beech is fine, it isn't good food quality compared to some other branches (elm is the best food value), but its still great roughage.

And, they will love it!
