Hi, my dam has started an other season five days after having her last one, just wanted to check whether I should be concerned or not.
Any advice would be welcomed please

I once had one who was in season - mated then came back into season 7 days later. I put her back to the male. She kidded normal gestation time to the second season. This can happen although not common but nothing to be concerned about unless you want her in kid then and not to wait for next season 3 weeks later.

Hi thanks for the reply,I'm not planning on mating her until next year, want to have more experience with her and the kids first, so it's not a problem, just wanted to know if this occurs with other dams

I have had them where their first season of the year wasn't a proper one and they came in properly 5 days later. They then went onto a 21 day cycle.

Thanks Clydesdale clopper,
Could it be because her kids are having seasons either side of hers?
This is her third cycle

I find if one in season it set's the rest off

How old is she? She may well have gone cystic... watch out if she comes back in in another 5 to 7 days.... if yes you will need to sort it out, usually be sponging.

Hi Anke thank you for the information, she is 4 1/2.
