Hello all forum members, I manage an organic farm with rare breeds in Hants, and am developing my own self sufficient garden ahead of buying my own property (again!). Briefly, I have farmed in Africa, USA and her in the UK, always grown most of our own produce due to living in remote places, so this has been a way of life for many years, but as always in this lifestyle, am still learning.

Hi, welcome. What rare breeds do you have?
-
Hi James, thanks for the welcome, we have; pigs: Saddlebacks, Middlewhites, Kunes (selling up most of these) and Wild boar.
Native strain Aberdeen Angus and Herefords, with milking Water Buffalo for added interest.
Lleyn sheep, naked neck broiler chickens, Light Sussex and Barred Marans.

Quite a selection then. I have goats, hens, ducks, geese, ponies, lambs, rabbit and dogs.

Hi and welcome. Someone was asking about buffalo on the site recently, so your joining is fortuitous. I'd like a milking cow - next year maybe.

We run the biggest herd in the UK, with an on site factory manufacturing Mozzerella cheese, plenty of calves on the ground so plenty of surplus stock available.
Thank you all for the warm welcome.
