Title: Best agents / websites for properties for sale, 1 acre+

Hi everyone

I think this might be my first post here, so if so, hello!

I'm looking to buy - perhaps not a smallholding as such - but a house with some land, minimum of an acre or so, perhaps two.

I would be very grateful for any recommendations of either estate agents or property websites I could try. Looking at the usual suspects, Rightmove etc, they don't appear to even have a search facility for land / garden size.

The area would preferably be Gloucestershire or Wiltshire.

Morning! Sorry I didn't see this before.
I assume you have tried to find a rural agent?
It may be worth you contacting the local estate agents and asking them to inform you if anything with land comes up.
We looked for small houses in a rural area. When ours came up for auction, we contacted the owner of the field next door and asked if we would be able to buy it if we won the house at auction. The rest is history as they say!

uklandandfarms - that's how we found ours.... loads of "rural" agents publish there. set up some searches and some email alerts... also with rightmove and zoopla

I found mine looking at rightmove, but also liked zoopla as it a keyword search and I used the keyword "acre" to find the ones with land.

I looked at a few of the rural / smallholding for sale sites as well.

We bought and sold on 'Rural Scene'.... worth a try  :thumbsup:

I suggest contacting some of the rural specialists for selling this type of property, not all properties are advertised online so its worth getting yourself on auctioneers or rural property specialists list.
