Hi
I have decided to get some hatching eggs and so will need separate accommodation for the broody and eggs/chicks. Does anyone have anything suitable to sell? I am in Falkirk area but can travel. Thanks for reading!

I am after the very same thing, but in Derbyshire!! Have been bidding on ebay. Started off on chicken arks, and seems everyone wants them, and bids like mad, so they go for lots of money. Thought I would have better luck on the rabbit hutches, but they too seem to be in great demand.
Good luck, maybe more available in your neck of the woods.

Try Gumtree or Preloved.
There's always a few on those sites

Hi,
Have you tried the "preloved" web site? We recently sold 2 rabbit hutches on there. Both were in really good condition (practically brand new). One went for £30 and the other £50 so much cheaper than if bought new or a chicken arc.

Thanks for the tips - will try Gumtree and Preloved (never heard of that one!) Hope you find something Roxy. I too noticed the high prices on ebay...

Join your local freegle and ask if anyone has a spare or old one they dont want? I did the same and got one given to me the next day :)

I have been looking on preloved, but nothing in my area unfortunately - well, yes, but those I rang about had been snapped up.
Thanks, Bev, have messaged you about your hutch.

what sort of thing are you looking at and what sort of price i make all our own and may make a few to sell im in north derbyshire (hope valley).
-
I am sorted now Cooper, thanks to Bevsmith.
But, I do think you should make some chicken arks to sell. I travelled over to Chesterfield a while back to collect one a man had made. He was very busy over there making chicken coops etc.
I am involved with Battery hen rescue, and quite a few are rehomed round High Peak/Hope Valley - its quite popular for rehoming them here. So, people will want hutches etc.

iv made some with intenshion to sell but for some reson we always end up useing them ::)
-
Yes, same here. OH made me some coops, I filled them with chickens, broody hens etc. This years chicks arrived, and need yet more coops. I think perhaps at 80 hens, its not that I have too few coops, its too many hens!!!
-
yes we ar past 80 more like 60 layers (large foul) 50 bantoms 5 broodys sitting 30 odd chicks at difrent stages 18 ducks :&> and then there are the sheep :sheep: ::)
-
OMG .....I thought I had a lot!! It takes me forever to feed and water them all, especially in this hot weather, when they seem to drink gallons of water, which I have to carry.
-
long water pipe and barals and toughs set up here and there make it easyer use mainly all large water drinkers that last each pen about 2 days and are easy to clean had lots of types of drinkers but these seam the best all round and the layers shed has auto drinker feed from a high mounted 20 ex army water cans u just swap now and then whe needed slowly geting there with setup makeing it best all round
and feeders like these some fill everyday and in pens last a few days (http://www.moorlandspoultry.co.uk/ximages/feed-drink/green-plastic-feeders.jpg)
