Title: supplier of goat collars

Hi  3 kids arriving next week and I want to get them lead trained. Where do you get collars and leads from?  (or would you use head collar?)

cheap dog collars from the pet shop, I use the ones with snap-shut plastic buckles, as they will come apart if/when they do try and hang themselves...

Also my kids never have collars on unless at shows or being lead trained at home, goatlings do have collars on as have milkers and boys. I would only use head collars on boys, and then only for leading and take them off afterwards.

No leather collars - they will eat them...

I use dog collars as well.Mine keep them on all the time but they do not go out to pasture so are safer.

Dog collars with plastic snap-fit buckles for me too. I put them on the kids as soon as they get separated from mums at night at the start of weaning. Makes them a lot easier to maneuver into the correct stalls at night!

I GET dog collars from agri-supplies where I get the feed, in the dog section, I found the plastic snap buckles broke and gave me a heartstopping few minutes when a goatling broke free near the track, so gone back to buckles, I wouldn't have them on kids or goatlings where they have horns, playing can be dangerous,
Often thought about headcollars for the adults though, but can't find anything small enough.
