I have pictures on my camera sd card which I cannot get transferred onto the computer. I use Nikon transfer and everything has worked for the last few years. Now when I plug in the cable the transfer screen comes up but no pictures are in the queue. The pictures show on the camera. I have tried putting the card into the sd slot on the computer but it does not show as being there.
All help appreciated.

Check the card is not locked - some models have a little plastic tag that can be moved to prevent accidental deleting of photos - this may block your computer from accessing the card
Next try a different card - if it works the original card's resource fork (bit of code that is like the index) may be corrupted. It is possible it will work in a card reader or the files can be recovered using specialist software. Cards don't last for ever!
Neither card works? Buy a cheap sd card reader with a usb connection for a few pounds from Amazon and try accessing the card direct from your computer.
Hope that helps

I think that it is new card time. I will try a card reader later today when I can borrow one, if that does not work I have only lost 66 pictures of sheep in lush summer pasture.

I use Recuva recovery program , its free . plug the camera in to the usb and locate it as storage then follow the program instructions , recover the files to a new folder on the desktop , good luck . :fc: :fc:
