So last year I have nicknamed "Year of the Pig" as we had our first pigs, experimented with butchery etc, this year I am nicknaming the "Year of the Bird" as we have geese for the first time and may have gotten a bit carried away with the incubator, 29 chicks so far and 19 more in the incubator.

So what is your "Year of" this year???

Everything!  It's been a bit of an expensive one - first time making my own hay, bought 12 ewe lambs, just been to see a small tractor this morning and agreed to buy it and got home to a message from a friend that they'd had to turn down a home for one of their puppies as it turned out to be non-working and I was first on the reserve list, so incoming Border collie the first weekend of October!

				Stone.

Lorry loads of the stuff to make tracks round the barn, sort out field gateways, do up the yard, make a big car park at the front of the house, we have even used it in the drainage system.
