:bee: Im trying to find a beginners course on having bees in but some i've found so far are a bit far away or cost a small fortune! Anyone know of any in Buckinghamshire?

Start off with the British Beekeepers Association at www.britishbee.org.uk - they list local courses and provide the best training you will be able to get and get hands on experience. I did that last year and joined a local group that has weekly sessions within an apiary from beginners to experts, they also make very good tea and cup cakes! :yum: It gives you an automatic network so if you have problems with your own bees there is always someone to call!
Right - off to colelct a s

Im a member of the beekeeprs association (i did it mainly to help support bee research) and just had a look on the site but i seem to have missed the boat for courses and training days. They had them back in march and april.

Hi,
contact your local group anyway. Even if they run the beginners courses in the wintertime. They are always happy to help beginners. I am pretty sure somebody will take you under his/her (bee) wing and you can help in the apiary. So, you can learn this summer and might even get your first hive at the end of the summer.
Everybody how has space and time should have bees!! Easy to keep and lots of honey!
