Title: Balding lamb
Post by: cluckyclaire on May 20, 2010, 09:57:58 am
I've got 9 sock lambs and all are eating and growing well. However one seems to be losing the fur on his head. It started a few days ago just around his eyes and it has now spread to his ears too. Anyone got any ideas? Only seems to be affecting the one lamb.

My wee boy had something similair, he lost a patch at the back of his head and over to his ears but left it. We had the vet out last week end for another reason and she wasn't concerned about it and now it seems to be slowly growing back. :)

Has he been sticking his head through the fence?  That is normally the culprit for funny hair cuts.

He does stick his head through the fence alot so it may just be that. Just wanted to be reassured that it is unlikely to be anything serious!
